Madeleine McCann's case has never been solved On Monday, the court heard call records and evidence retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years. Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most publicized investigations and remains unresolved. 'I Do Not Need Money' Another recorded message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I believe." While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What then? Is that not significant for you?" "I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the message continued. The tribunal was informed that by means of emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns. Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with Leicestershire Police who gathered the evidence, told the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann. Ms Wandelt additionally contacted close associates of the McCanns, based on the communication logs. On that date, Gerry McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information." That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my claim." Kate and Gerry McCann testified to the court from using a privacy screen on Wednesday The court heard the co-defendant established a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in that winter. Phone records demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the time leading up to the visit to that location, Leicestershire, in that winter. The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in last November, considering attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.
